FOXBOROUGH, Mass. Miikka Kiprusoff Jersey . - No coach has more post-season wins than Bill Belichick. No quarterback has been to more Super Bowls than Tom Brady. And these New England Patriots are so much more than that dynamic duo, as the overwhelmed Indianapolis Colts learned.Belichick and Brady earned their sixth trip to the big game — and Belichick got his 21st post-season win — with the second-most lopsided AFC championship ever, 45-7 before a raucous, rain-soaked crowd Sunday night.I only have one thing to say. Were on to Seattle, Belichick said, adapting the rallying cry he repeated, Were on to Cincinnati, after a loss at Kansas City dropped the Patriots to 2-2.The Patriots (14-4) will face the defending champion Seahawks (14-4) for the NFL title on Feb. 1 in Glendale, Arizona. The stoic Belichick will match wits with the enthusiastic Pete Carroll, whom he replaced as Patriots coach 2000. The Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers 28-22 in overtime in the NFC title game.Brady threw three touchdown passes, LeGarrette Blount ran 30 times for 148 yards and three scores and the Patriots scored touchdowns on four straight possessions after leading just 17-7 at halftime.I know weve had some ups and downs this year, Brady said, but right now were up, baby, and were going to try to stay up for one more game.Quarterback Andrew Luck and the Colts have a long wait for their next game. The No. 1 draft choice in 2012 had the worst performance of his career and the fourth rout in his four games against the Patriots, all by at least three touchdowns. He completed 12 of 33 passes for 126 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. Its hard to find much good (in the season) fresh off this game, Luck said. We had our sights set higher. In his first season as a starter in 2001, Brady led the Patriots to a Super Bowl win, starting a run of three championships in four years. Now he and Belichick have a chance for their first in 10 years. The list of milestones is long:__ Brady surpassed John Elway for most Super Bowls for a quarterback and tied defensive lineman Mike Lodish for most by any player.__ Belichick tied Don Shula for most Super Bowls for a coach and broke a tie with Tom Landry for post-season win.__ New England tied Dallas and Pittsburgh for most appearances in the big game with eight. Brady completed 23 of 35 passes for 226 yards before being replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo with 3:20 left. Brady went to the sideline where he was embraced by Belichick. Moments earlier, while sitting on the bench, Brady was shown on the video board with soaked hair. He pumped his fist in the air 12 times then slapped hands with teammates. One play after Luck threw an interception to Darrelle Revis late in the third quarter, Blount ran 13 yards for the touchdown that made it 38-7. One fan held up a sign: No Luck In Our HouseIts a very disappointing loss, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. Well learn from this. Well grow from this.Eight days after baffling Baltimore with a four-man offensive linemen formation, Belichick called a pass to left tackle Nate Solder that resulted in a 16-yard touchdown that made it 24-7 with just under five minutes gone in the third quarter.Weve been practicing that for years, Solder said. The stars were aligned. The Patriots kept rolling with touchdowns on each of their next three series — a 5-yard pass from Brady to Rob Gronkowski, and Blounts runs of 13 and 2 yards. He made some great cuts in not good conditions, Belichick said of Blount. Hes a tough guy to tackle. All that added up to a shot at another championship for the Patriots, who lost Super Bowls to the New York Giants in the 2007 and 2011 seasons.Turnovers led to two of the three touchdowns in the first half.Josh Cribbs fumbled a punt after the Patriots went three-and-out on their first possession andDarius Fleming recovered at the Colts 26. Six plays later, Blount scored on a 1-yard run.The Patriots took a 14-0 lead with just over a minute left in the first quarter on Bradys 1-yard pass to James Develin. The Patriots were driving again before Brady was picked off by DQwell Jackson. Luck marched the Colts 93 yards to a 1-yard touchdown run by Zurlon Tipton with 4:54 left in the half. Then the Colts defence came up with a big stand, forcing Brady into three straight incompletions from their 3. The Patriots settled for Stephen Gostkowskis 21-yard field goal nine seconds before intermission. And then the Patriots dominated. I never thought we would go out like this, Colts safety Mike Adams said. It definitely caught me off guard.Notes: Brady passed Peyton Manning (6,800 yards) for most yards passing in the post-season with 7,017. ... In four games against the Colts, Luck has thrown six touchdowns and 10 interceptions. ... Indianapolis kicker Adam Vinatieri set an NFL record with his 30th post-season game, one more than Jerry Rice, but missed a 51-yard field goal attempt. ... The Patriots improved to 17-4 in home playoff games.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP_NFL Jarome Iginla Jersey . Hollis-Jefferson went 5-for-6 from the field and added six rebounds, while Stanley Jefferson contributed 14 points for the Wildcats, who used their trademark tough defense to dominate the games final 24 minutes and advance to Tuesdays winners bracket matchup with Kansas State.WASHINGTON -- When he found out he was getting his first start in seven weeks, Michal Neuvirth felt the same way he did before his NHL debut. Anxiety. Nerves. Butterflies. That first start, five seasons ago, went well for the Washington Capitals goalie and so did Fridays game against the Toronto Maple Leafs as he made 32 saves in a 3-2 victory. "I was nervous, couldnt really sleep before the game," Neuvirth said. "I was feeling like I was as nervous as my first NHL game. My girlfriend told me just do what you do and try to be good." Neuvirth was just that, giving up just two goals, both on deflections. In his first NHL game, Neuvirth had 31 saves in a 5-1 victory over Tampa Bay. "I thought he played a great game, I really did," Washington coach Adam Oates said. "First period, I think he had some shots that allowed him to get into the game, which is good for him. After the second goal, he made a fantastic save that saved the game for us." Neuvirths work paved the way for Joel Ward to score the go-ahead goal with just over 8 minutes left in the third period, and Alex Ovechkin added a goal and an assist. Nicklas Backstrom also scored as the Capitals won on back-to-back nights for the fourth time this year. It was the fourth straight loss for Toronto after a 3-2 victory over Detroit on Jan. 1 in the Winter Classic, and the Maple Leafs have been outscored 21-7 in the defeats. James Van Riemsdyk and Phil Kessel each had a goal and an assist. Coming off a 6-1 loss Thursday night at Carolina, Toronto saw some positives in the defeat. "This might be one of the better games weve played in a month. We showed desperation. We showed that we care," coach Randy Carlyle said. "Weve been begging, pleading, kicking, kissing, whatever we can do to try and find a way to play with some confidence. It seems like weve squeezed our sticks here. Its mind boggliing. Eddie Lack Jersey. " Kessels team-high 21st goal gave Toronto a short-lived 2-1 lead in the third when his shot went off the stick of Washington defenceman Karl Alzner and over the shoulder of Nuevirth. The Caps got the equalizer in similar fashion with 15:24 left as Backstroms severe-angle shot went off the skate of Maple Leafs centre Jay McClement and past Jonathan Bernier (32 saves) for his 11th goal. "A little lucky," Oates said. "Their second goal, Alzy breaks a stick on that deflection. A little lucky, so were even." Wards winner, his 13th of the season, came with 8:10 left, 6 seconds after Toronto had killed a penalty, as he fired a slap shot from 15 feet out on a pass from Marcus Johansson. "I was a little upset at first cause the way it kind of came off my stick," Ward said. "But I kind of got enough to actually go in." After that, Neuvirth kept Washington in command, making his final save with 12 seconds left. The last time the 25-year-old was set to play for the Capitals, on Nov. 29, he suffered a leg injury in warmups. He had not suited up for a game since. With the Caps playing their second of five games in a span of seven days, Braden Holtby struggling and rookie Philipp Grubauer coming off a taxing 4-3 win Thursday night at Tampa Bay, Neuvirth made his first start since Nov. 22. In the absence of Neuvirth, Grubauer (6-2-3) emerged as perhaps the teams most reliable goalie, prompting Neuvirth to request a trade last month. "Ive been watching a lot of hockey from the press box," Neuvirth said. "I havent seen the puck for some time. Probably would be tough if I get scored on in the first couple minutes, but I didnt want to think about it." NOTES: Washington D John Erskine had an eventful second period, drawing a pair of penalties for fighting. The scraps were against Cody Franson and Colton Orr. PITTSBURGH -- The best line on hockeys busiest team hardly looked gassed. Fabian Benko Jersey . The way Derick Brassard and Benoit Pouliot were furiously pouring in overtime goals, the New York Rangers didnt exactly look like a group in need of a day off. Brassard beat Marc-Andre Fleury 3:06 into overtime -- with Pouliot bizarrely doing the same seven seconds later -- and the Rangers stunned the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference secound round Friday night. The winner officially went to Brassard, whose wrist shot from in front beat Fleury cleanly but caromed back onto the ice. Referee Steve Kozari waved it off, however, and play continued before Pouliot slammed the puck into a wide open net moments later for good measure. "I found out way later (Brassard) got the goal," Pouliot said. "Good for him. Weve been playing well against Philly and now tonight. We deserved that." Pouliot and Brad Richards gave the Rangers an early 2-0 lead. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 34 shots and stuffed a late Pittsburgh breakaway in the final seconds of regulation. The line of Pouliot, Brassard and Mats Zuccarello combined for 14 points in New Yorks four regular-season meetings with the Penguins. They were the best trio on the ice on a team barely 48 hours removed from a wearying seven-game victory over Philadelphia in the opening round. "Since Christmas theyve probably been our most consistent line," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "Theyve got real good chemistry. They read off one another and support one another well and ... they scored two in overtime." Lee Stempniak and James Neal scored for the Penguins. Fleury made 24 saves but was helpless on the winner. "It was just a big pile of guys and I was trying to find the puck out of it," Fleury said. Pittsburgh star Sidney Crosby was held without a goal for the 12th straight playoff game as the Rangers took away much of the open ice where Crosby likes to operate. "It couldve went either way," Crosby said. "I dont think we played a full 60 (minutes)." Not exactly. The Rangers were supposed to be exhausted after outlasting the Flyers in the opening round, not advancing until a 2-1 victory in Game 7 on Wednesday night. Instead, it was the well-rested Penguins who appeared to need a nap. Pouliot gave New York the lead 5:04 into first period, capitalizing on a Pittsburgh turnover then splitting Penguins defenceman Olli Maatta and Matt Niskanen before firing a wrist shot that caromed off Fleurys right arm and into the net. Richards doubled the lead late in the period with his third and easiest goal of the post-season. Carl Hagelin beat Maatta to a puck in the corner and fed it to Richards, who had enough time in front to go from his backhand to his forehand and flip the puck by an overmatched Fleury. Whatever sluggishness the Penguins felt after a three-day layoff vanished in the second. Stempniak cut the lead in half by taking a nice drop pass from Beau Bennett then streaking down the middle and beating Lundqvist with a backhand 7:15 into the period. Neal tied it just over 6 minutes later thanks to a rare mistake by Lundqvist, who deflected Neals into the air then had it glance off his back and into the net. Lundqvist pleaded with officials that Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin had interfered with him while trying to make the save, but replays showed Malkins high-stick swat didnt come close to touching the puck. New York gathered itself before the third and the teams traded chances over the final 20 minutes of regulation with Lundqvist stopping a slap shot from Stempniak in the final 15 seconds to send it to overtime. Whatever adrenaline the Rangers had left fueled them during the brief extra period. New York dominated play before the madcap finish to beat the Penguins in Game 1 of a post-season series for the first time. The Penguins came in 4-0 in the playoff series against New York. Now the Rangers find themselves in control with a welcome day off before Sundays rematch. "Yeah we played seven games and the seventh one was a grueling match but I think most of us have been through it," Pouliot said. "Its the NHL and you have to find a way and we did." NOTES: New York went 0 for 4 on the power play and is 0 for its last 25 with the man advantage. ... The Rangers held out F Chris Kreider once again. Kreider wore a non-contact jersey during Friday mornings skate and his return from a hand injury remains uncertain. ... Penguins D Brooks Orpik missed his third straight game with an undisclosed injury. Xabi Alonso Jersey .com) - Nino Williams posted 18 points and seven rebounds, as Kansas State edged No. Thiago Alcantara Jersey . But San Diego had even more trouble against right-hander Tanner Roark, who pitched a three-hitter for the first complete game of his career as the Nationals shut out the Padres 4-0. MELBOURNE, Australia -- Swedens Caroline Hedwall had a hole-in-one and finished with a 7-under 65 on Friday to take the second-round lead in the Womens Australian Open. The Solheim Cup star aced the 160-yard par-3 16th, eagled the par-5 eighth after hitting to 4 feet and had five birdies and two bogeys at Victoria Golf Club to reach 11-under 133, one shot ahead of second-ranked Suzann Pettersen of Norway. "I couldnt see it and the crowd didnt want to yell because Laura (Davies) was hitting off on No. 17, so we walked up there and they were like, It went in!" Hedwall said. "Yesterday I hit a full 7-iron over the green (for bogey) and it was basically the same yardage today. So, I hit a softer 7-iron. It covered the pin the whole way and I just saw it bounce once and hit the pin, but I didnt see it go in." Winless on the LPGA Tour, Hedwall was a record 5-0-0 last year in Europes Solheim Cup victory in Colorado. "Im driving pretty well," Hedwall said. "I missed a couple of drives yesterday and today but I managed to save a coouple of bogeys and Im still making a lot of birdies and also eagles. Philipp Lahm Jersey. quot; Pettersen, the first-round leader after a 66, had a 68. "Today, was not the best day, but when I had a good chance, I kind of executed," Pettersen said. "Just not a great day, but sticking to the theme, coming down, finishing and coming back to my good feel. Its very, very close. Ive got to trust my feels and what I have to do." Australian amateur Minjee Lee was 9 under after a 67. The 17-year-old Lee was second behind Cheyenne Woods last week in the Australian Ladies Masters. "It was such a slow start," Lee said. "I started with nine pars. I was just patient and it came together late in the round." Swedens Anna Nordqvist had the round of the day, a 64 that broke the course record for women. She was tied for fourth at 8 under with 16-year-old New Zealander Lydia Ko and Englands Holly Clyburn. Ko and Clyburn shot 68. Woods, Tiger Woods niece, was tied for 20th at 5 under. She followed her opening 74 with a 65. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ZAGREB, Croatia -- Marin Cilic from Croatia overcame problems with his serve to win the Zagreb Indoors tournament on Sunday, defeating top-seeded Tommy Haas from Germany 6-3, 6-4. George Kittle Jersey . Fifth-seeded Cilic gained his fourth title in Zagreb and became the third Croat overall to win at least 10 career titles. Cilic also lifted his career record in Zagreb to 22-4, winning 20 of his last 21 matches at the event. Cilic -- champion here in 2009, 10 and last year -- struggled with his first serve in the opening set but played some great returns with a solid baseline performance. The 35-year-old Haas broke in the first game but then lost five out of the next six. Haas also wasted a break point for a 4-2 lead in the second set, allowing Cilic to step up the pressure and gain a 5-3 lead. Haas saved a match point, but Cilic made sure he used the second opportunity. "Its nice to be in the finals after the tough last year I had," Cilic said. "I played (under) great pressure." Haas in turn said Marin "played big points better." Cilics coach Goran Ivanisevic has 22 titles and Ivan Ljubicic has 10. Cilic and Haas are tied 2-2 in head-to-heads. Making the Zagreb final was Haas best performance this year, after he lost in the opening rounds in Auckland and at the Australian Open. Haas won his last title in Vienna last year. Bradley Pinion Jersey . The bout served as the headlining matchup of Saturdays "UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva" event, which took place at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. It was Silva who looked well on his way to victory in the early going, delivering a pair of crushing kicks to the body that sent Brown crashing to the floor, doubled over in pain. Terrell Owens Jersey .com) - It appears both the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls will reach the playoffs, but the two squads are coming off losing efforts. http://www.thesf49ersshoponline.com/Malcolm-Smith-49ers-Jersey/ .Former NBA forward Morris Peterson has been added to TSNs Toronto Raptors broadcast team. Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych both did what was expected of them to leave the Davis Cup final between Serbia and defending champion Czech Republic level at 1-1 after the opening day. Djokovic overcame some early nerves to beat Radek Stepanek 7-5, 6-1, 6-4 in the first singles match and Berdych then swept past rookie Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 on the indoor hard court at Belgrade Arena. With their formidable 13-1 record in Davis Cup doubles, Berdych and Stepanek have a chance to give the Czechs the lead in the best-of-five series Saturday. It was still unclear whether Djokovic would play doubles or rest for Sundays reverse singles. Djokovic earned his 23rd consecutive victory since losing to Rafael Nadal in the U.S. Open final in September but struggled a bit in the first set. He broke Stepanek to go up 4-2 but had to save two break points in the next game and failed to serve out the set at 5-3, when he committed a series of errors. However, he broke again in the 12th game to take the lead. "I was a bit nervous in the first set," Djokovic said. "It was very important to win that one against high-quality player like Radek." The second-ranked Serb held serve the rest of the match -- saving seven break points in all, while converting five of six he created. "Whenever I would face (break points) I would come up with some big serves," Djokovic said. "I think that is what helped me sttay confident in those moments. Aaron Lynch Jersey. " Stepanek said Djokovic was serving "tremendously consistently," which prevented him from getting another break. "The first set was really high quality, and so was the third," the Czech veteran said. "His defence is the best in the world, he proved that with his movement that he showed around the court. He always makes you play an extra shot." Berdych broke once in each of the first two sets, and twice in the third to wrap up the win 2 hours, 54 minutes against Lajovic. The 23-year-old Serb, who has a 5-12 record on the ATP tour, replaced Janko Tipsarevic, who missed the final with a heel injury. "It was a tough one, playing the guy I actually saw for the first time on court," Berdych said. "He had nothing to lose. These situations are not easy. I am glad I was able to make it happen in straight sets." Berdych said he hoped the Czechs would decide the final before a potentially decisive match against Djokovic on Sunday. "When you look at Novak and how he is playing its like Playstation. So the best way is to unplug electricity." "Im happy how I played," Lajovic said. "Im sure that many of the spectators did not even know how I look like." The Czechs are in the final for the third time in five years. Serbia won its only Davis Cup title in Belgrade in 2010, beating France. MONTREAL - There was something more important than being in last place or blowing a two-goal lead for the Montreal Impact on Wednesday night and it was all about showing support for grieving defender Karl Ouimette. Trevor Rosenthal Jersey . In the end, the Impacts 2-2 draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy, which saw a two-goal lead produced by Marco Di Vaio and Ignacio Piatti in the first half erased in the second on goals from Gyasi Zardes and Alan Gordon, was just more wasted points among many this season for the 5-16-6 club. What counted for this night was holding a moments silence before the game for Ouimettes sister Julie, who died Friday after a 12-year battle with cancer. She was 20. The crowd of only 13,916 at Saputo Stadium stood at the 34th minute mark and cheered for Ouimette, who wears the No. 34 shirt. Di Vaio, the Impacts leader and star striker, opened the scoring in the 28th and then ran immediately to the bench to hug the 22-year-old defender from Terrebonne, Que. "We wanted to dedicate a victory to Karl and his family," said 38-year-old Di Vaio. "When I scored the goal, it was simple to go to him because he spent really bad moments the last few days. "We wanted to give his family some positive emotion. Were a good group, a tight group. Were together in good and bad moments." It had been a trying week for Ouimette, between the high of being invited to play for Canadas national team in Toronto and having to make a quick trip back to Montreal when his sister died. He got one minute of playing time in Canadas 3-1 win over Jamaica on Tuesday night. He returned Wednesday morning and didnt expect to dress against the Galaxy, but coach Frank Klopas sent him on the field to replace injured fullback Hassoun Camara in the 59th minute. It turned out to be an emotional night. "It was great for Marco to come and see me, and everybody on the team gave me support before the game," said Ouimette. "I just came back, so it was the first time I saw them since my sister passed away. "It was great to have the guys show theyre there for me and have my back. Its a big gesture for my sister. The one that was most difficult was the minute of silence before the game. I was away, Id been thinking about other things, trying to get past these emotions. Its hard not to have my sister next to me." The Impact looked to have come up with a third straight win at home in a solid opening half, but injuries to defenders Matteo Ferrari (hamstring) and Camara (left elbow) opened the door for the high powered Galaxy attack in the second. The Galaxy (14-6-7), who are chasing Seattle for first place in the Western Conference, ended a five-game winning streak but moved to 10-2-3 since the World Cup break in June. Di Vaio finished a four-pass attack on the rush to open the scoring in the 28th minute. Piatti got a pass back from Dilly Duka and slipped the ball to an unmarked Di Vaio, who back-heeled in his sixth goal of the season. Duka sent Montreal in on a three-man breakaway that saw Felipe Martins feed Piatti for the goal in the 43rd. It was the fourth goal in the past three games for the Argentine who joined the Impact as a designated player a month ago. The Montreal defence lost its bearings when veteran Ferrari was substituted by Wandrille Lefevre at the intermission. A pretty diagonal pass through the penalty area by Juninho found Zardes alone at the far post to redirect his 15th of the season home in the 57th. It was Zardess 14th goal in the past 16 games. Substitute Gordon wasnt on the pitch for two minutes when he converted a Landon Donovan pass across the goal in the 64th. It was Donovans 132nd career assist, three short of Steve Ralstons league record. "To get a point when youre down two goals, you cant complain a lot, but on the night we werent good," said Arena, who had to switch from a 3-5-2 to a 4-4-2 formation at half time because, "we didnt have players who are capable of making the adjustments in the back three. "Id like to see we have players who have a better tactical feel, but its obvious that some of them dont. But thats my responsibility." The Impact play again Sunday but the match that matters now is their CONCACAF Champions League game next Wednesday at home against the New York Red Bulls. Getting through the group stage could save a dismal season. Klopas appealed to the Impact fans to pack the 20,000-seat stadium. "Its probably our biggest game of the season and we need it," he said. Donovan, who is to retire at the end of the season, as well as L.A.s Dan Gargan and Montreals Felipe all were cautioned and will miss their next game due to yellow card accumulation. The Galaxy had Robbie Keane back from international duty, where he helped the Republic of Ireland beat Georgia in Tbilisi on Sunday. Notes: Montreal had veteran Heath Pearce in for Lefevre at centreback and Calum Mallace replaced Patrice Bernier in midfield. Bernier, Issey Nakajima-Farran, Ouimette and Jeremy Gagnon-Lapare had all had been with the national team. . . It was the Galaxys first game at Saputo Stadium. Once every 10 years, its time to hit another one. On the day the franchise honoured the 30th anniversary of the 1984 World Series team, Rajai Davis hit his third career grand slam with one out in the ninth, giving the Tigers a 5-4 victory over the Oakland As. "I cant even remember the last time I did that," said Davis, who had never hit a walk-off homer of any kind in the major leagues. "It must have been in my dreams, while I was sleeping." It was Detroits first game-ending grand slam in almost exactly a decade. Carlos Pena hit one against Arizona on June 27, 2004. Coincidentally, that was the weekend the Tigers honoured the 1984 teams 20th anniversary. The last one before Penas was also 10 years earlier, as Lou Whitaker, a member of the 1984 champs, hit one against Cleveland on June 21, 1994. Oakland closer Sean Doolittle (2-2) was given a three-run lead to work with in the ninth, but managed only one out. Nick Castellanos and Alex Avila started the inning with singles. Eugenio Suarez struck out, but Doolittle walked Austin Jackson -- just the second walk he has issued this season. Jackson fouled off three straight 2-2 pitches before taking a pair of fastballs inside. "That was a hell of a battle," Doolittle said. "You could really see him shorten up his swing with two strikes, and he did a real good job." Doolittle then missed with a curveball and hung another one over the middle of the plate. "I just hung ... it," he said. "I threw some good pitches, but I threw some bad ones, and the last one cost us the game." Davis didnt miss it, hitting the ball out down the left-field line. "That was amazing," he said. "Austin had a great at-bat, and then I got a pitch that was middle or middle-in. It didnt do much. I wasnt sure if I got enough -- I was just hoping the wind would blow it out." Oakland broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth, helped by a defensive mistake. Yoenis Cespedes led off with a routine grounder to shortstop, but Suarezs throw sailed well over Miguel Cabreras head at first. Brandon Moss followed wiith an RBI into the left-centre field gap, and Sanchez walked Donaldson. Orlando Cepeda Jersey. Joba Chamberlain came in and allowed a single to Stephen Vogt, loading the bases. Jed Lowrie made it 4-1 with a two-run single to left, but Phil Coke replaced Chamberlain and got out of the inning. Nick Castellanos grabbed Alberto Callaspos grounder, stepped on third and threw to Ian Kinsler at second for a double play. Kinsler relayed the ball to first, hoping for a 5-4-3 triple play, but Callaspo beat the throw. Detroits rally took Anibal Sanchez off the hook; he now hasnt lost in his last 10 starts. Blaine Hardy (1-0) picked up his first career victory with a scoreless top of the ninth. Sanchez, who struck out his 1,000th career batter in the fourth, lost his shutout in the sixth on Lowries RBI single. Cabrera tied the game in the bottom of the inning, sending a 2-2 changeup into the Oakland bullpen beyond the left-centre field fence. Scott Kazmir left in the sixth, one pitch after appearing to grab at his hip. Dan Otero replaced him and kept the game tied through seven innings. "My calf just cramped up," Kazmir said. "I was OK until I tried to push off." NOTES: Alan Trammell, the 1984 World Series MVP, spoke on behalf of his team before the game. At that point, he was the only Tigers player since World War II to hit a game-ending grand slam with Detroit trailing by three runs. Davis, who stopped warming up to watch Trammells speech, became the second just over three hours later. ... Trammell and Whitaker received the two biggest ovations, and at the end of the ceremony, Whitaker took the mound with Trammell behind the plate. After a dramatic pause, both jogged to their familiar positions on either side of second base. Whitaker flipped to Trammell, who tagged second and threw to Dave Bergman at first for a ceremonial double play. ... Tigers DH Victor Martinez was a late scratch because of a sore side, and was replaced by J.D. Martinez. ... The Athletics have allowed three game-ending grand slams since World War II, with two coming against Detroit. In 1983, Lance Parrish hit one off Jeff Jones, who is now Detroits pitching coach. OAKLAND, Calif. Gianluigi Buffon Jersey . - Athletics right-hander A.J. Griffin has undergone elbow ligament replacement surgery, becoming the second Oakland starter lost to the season-ending procedure this year. The As say Griffin had the surgery Wednesday morning in Houston after receiving a second opinion on his sore arm Tuesday from Dr. Thomas Mehlhoff. The doctor also operated on Oakland pitcher Fernando Rodriguez last year. Teammate Jarrod Parker underwent the same surgery before the season. The 26-year-old Griffin was 14-10 with a 3.83 ERA last season after making his major league debut in 2012, when he went 7-1 with a 3.06 ERA in 15 starts for the As. Same goes for the third goal on a great shot by St. Louis but at 511", its tough to play deeper as it opens the net/lanes up for pucks to get through. Had big saves on Dorsett, Hagelin in second and very good saves on Pouliot, Richards and Stepan in the third period. Denver, CO (SportsNetwork. Chicharito Jersey .com) - Semyon Varlamov posted 23 saves for his fourth shutout of the season to lead the Colorado Avalanche in a 3-0 victory over the Nashville Predators. Maxime Talbot, Gabriel Landeskog and Jarome Iginla scored for the Avalanche, who had lost three of four coming into the game. Marek Mazanec made 25 saves for the Predators, who have dropped four of their last five. Mario Osuna Jersey . He still wanted out. Felix Pie had an RBI double earlier in the inning, as Baltimore rallied for three runs to overcome a 3-2 deficit. J.J. Hardy had two hits and Matt Wieters chipped in with an RBI double for the Orioles, who pushed their winning streak to three games. TORONTO -- Mark Casse finally has his first Queens Plate victory. Filly Lexie Lou captured the $1-million race Sunday at Woodbine Racetrack, giving the six-time Sovereign Award winner as Canadas top trainer his first Plate win. The 53-year-old American came close in 2011, finishing second to Inglorious with Hippolytus, but admitted becoming emotional after Lexie Lou crossed the finish line 1 1/2-lengths ahead of runner-up Amis Holiday, a 9-1 longshot. "My son, Colby, just started crying afterwards and to see it mean that much to him got me crying," said Casse, a 34-year racing veteran. "There was a lot of crying . . . I think I wouldve been OK had Colby not started crying. "When all youve done your entire life is been around race horses . . . I really dont know anything else. Ive been following the Queens Plate since I was a little boy and so to finally win it, I just pinch myself. I thought wed win it sooner or later. I knew I wasnt going to give up." The daughter of Sligo Bay-Oneexcessivenite served notice in the Woodbine Oaks on June 15 that she was indeed a Plate contender. Lexie Lou earned a comfortable 4 1/2-length win and covered the 1 1/8-mile distance in 1:49.77, a full second faster than We Miss Arties winning time in the Plate Trial a race earlier. Breaking from the No. 14 post in the 15-horse field, Lexie Lou sat comfortably in ninth at the halfway point before steadily working up the field. She sat second behind Asserting Bear after a mile before surging into the lead, then holding off Amis Holiday to finish the 1 1/4-mile race on Woodbines polytrack in 2:03.94. "I think a lot of times theres too much preparation, too much training and we did very little with her," Casse said. "After the Oaks we sent her out to our farm, which is about an hour north of here, and let her eat grass. "When I saw her in the paddock today walking around with not a care in the world, I said to my wife, Shes going to be really really tough, because the first time we ran her she was kind of nervous. But not today." Asserting Bear finished third ahead of We Miss Artie, the 9/5 favourite who rallied to take fourth after a terrible start. The remainder of the field included: Niigon Express; Lions Bay; Matador; Heart to Heart; Coltimus Prime; Athenian Guard; Cap in Hand; One Destiny; Man o Bear; Tower of Texas; and Majestic Sunset. Lexie Lou paid $8.20, $4.50 and $3.30 while Amis Holiday returned $9.70 and $5.80. Asserting Bear paid $6. Jockey Patrick Husbands earned his second career Plate win but first since 03 when he guidedd Wando to a Triple Crown, the last horse to register that achievement. Mexico Jerseys. But the victory was almost anti-climatic for the veteran rider. "I breezed this filly Saturday and when I pulled her up I started crying because I couldnt believe I had another Queens Plate winner," Husbands said. "On the way back to the barn I told the assistant, Could you tell Mark I dont think they will beat this filly. "I went back to my car, I called Barbados and told everybody Im coming home to celebrate. Im on the flight (Sunday night) to Barbados to celebrate (Monday)." Javier Castellano, We Miss Arties jockey, said the poor start cost his horse the race. "I think with the big field my horse got a little nervous in the gate, he completely sat down behind the gate," Castellano said. "Thats why he broke straight in the air . . . it took a lot out of him. "He was too far behind. I lost a lot of ground going around horses." Jockey Luis Contreras had no such complaints about his trip or Amis Holiday starting from the No. 15 post. "We didnt need to be on the lead and I could see all the horses from the outside position," he said. "My horse gave a tremendous kick and we almost got there." Chantal Sutherland-Kruse, the jockey aboard Asserting Bear, said Lexie Lou was a deserving winner. "We did our best but Lexie Lou was just powerful," she said. The victory was the fifth in 12 career starts for Lexie Lou, with the $600,000 winners share boosting her all-time earnings past $1.2 million. Last year, Lexie Lou ran for owner-trainer John Ross, earning more than $300,000. But after her first start this year, Ross sold the filly to Gary Barber, the chairman and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). "I dont buy horses thinking Im going to win the Oaks," Casse said. "I buy them just thinking and hoping Im making a good buy and can make it work and sometimes funny things happen. "John Ross did a wonderful job with her, she came to us in great shape and we couldnt have done it without him. We were just in the right place at the right time and got lucky." Casse was non-commital about Lexie Lou running July 29 in the $500,000 Prince of Wales Stakes, the second jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown at Fort Erie Racetrack. "A third race in a short time and, of course, a surface shes never been over," Casse said. "Well see, we could go there. "Gary is from California and they have synthetic there and it wouldnt shock me if she ends up in California." LONDON -- Imagine what the reception will be like for Andy Murray on Monday when he first strides onto the green grass of Centre Court at Wimbledon. Lavonte David Jersey . A year ago, Murray became the first British man since Fred Perry in 1936 to win the singles title at a tournament the locals refer to simply as "The Championships," ending a nations long wait and sparking talk of a knighthood. This year, Murray gets the defending champions honour of playing the fortnights first match on the most famous tennis court in the world. Seems safe to say that 15,000 or so of his closest friends will greet him with a full-throated roar. "As the time gets nearer, and, you know, I get ready to play the first match on Monday, Ill definitely ... be excited about it," Murray said. "I will be nervous. It (is) an experience; something I have never experienced before. Players have talked about it in the past, that its a great experience. But it can also be a nerve-racking one." Murray had a slow start this season, coming off back surgery, and he hasnt reached a final since Wimbledon 50 weeks ago. But he showed hes on the way back to peak form by reaching the semifinals at the French Open. Performing that well on clay would seem to bode well for what he can do on grass. "I expect to play well there. Im really looking forward to going back. I think it will give me a lot of positive energy," Murray said. "Im glad Im back playing to a level that was able to get me through to the last stage of Slams." As for how Murray will handle whatever jitters accompany his first trip back to the site of his most significant victory, his peers think hell be just fine. "The way hes got himself back into shape again, I think he can really believe again. Thats whats most important now," said Roger Federer, who won seven of his record 17 major championships at Wimbledon and is coming off a grass title at Halle, Germany. "(Being) defending champion is never an easy thing. But then again, he played so well on grass the last few years. ... I would feel comfortable if I was Andy at this point." Novak Djokovic, the 2011 champion and runner-up to Murray last year, agreed. "Im sure that Andy, with all the experience he has playing in the big matches, and especially here in front of his home crowd, understands and knows the way how to handle the pressure and expectation," Djokovic said. "So I expect him to do well." The other reigning singles champion, Frances Marion Bartoli, will not try to defend her title, announcing her retirement at 28, less than six weeks after the 2013 final. That actually fits well with the quirky career of Bartoli, who certainly did things her way, down to her two-fisted strokes for forehands, backhands and volleys. While Murrays baseline game is rather conventional by todays standards, his coaching decisions have been groundbreaking. After parting in March with Ivan Lendl -- whose hiring was followed by those of fellow past greats of the game Stefan Edberg (by Federer) and Boris Becker (by Djokovic) -- Murray picked former womens No. 1 Amelie Mauresmo as a replacement this month. "All Im interested in is to be able to help him (reach) his goals," Mauresmo said. "Thats about it." Murray, who grew up in Dunblane, Scotland, has made plain that those aims are primarily about winning more Grand Slam trophies. He earned his first at the 2012 U.S. Open, shortly after winning a gold medal at the London Olympics. Those triumphs followed his loss to Federer at Wimbledon that year. In 2013, Murray beat Djokovic in the Wimbledon final to end the 77-year drought. Scotlands vote in September about whether to break away from Britain -- Murray has steadfastly avoided weighing in -- will be a popular topic of conversation around London this summer, and with Englands early elimination from the World Cup, the attention on "Our Andy" at Wimbledon figures to be as strong as ever. "Anytime you taste what it feels like to win it once, you obviously want to win it again. So theres an element of pressure you put on yourself, for starters, because you sort of want to see what that feels like at least one more time," said ESPN analyst John McEnroe, who won Wimbledon three times. "From that standpoint, hes going to be feeling pressure. Clearly now once people know he can do it, theyre going to think he should do it again." Brent Grimes Jersey . Coming off a 6-0 drubbing at Chelsea on Saturday, Arsenal endured another demoralizing result after rallying for a 2-1 lead -- only to concede a fluke equalizer. Jacquies Smith Jersey . -- Hee Young Park topped the leaderboard at 8 under Friday in the suspended second round of the Kingsmill Championship. http://www.shoptheofficialbuccaneers. ... mphile-Buccaneers-Jersey/ . Serves hit by her surgically repaired shoulder often missed the mark, resulting in 12 double-faults. MINNEAPOLIS -- Zack Greinke added to his century-best run on a historic night for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Greinke pitched six strong innings, Juan Uribe had two RBIs and the Los Angeles Dodgers earned their 10,000th win in franchise history, 6-4 over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night. Greinke (5-0) struck out six and didnt allow an earned run through drizzling rain and temperatures that dipped into the 30s. He now has gone 18 straight regular-season starts of at least five innings while allowing two runs or fewer, the longest run since 1914. He also has opened a season with wins in five straight decisions for the first time since he was 6-0 in his AL Cy Young Award season of 2009. "My stuff was a lot better then," Greinke said. "Im locating better, being smarter. Ive gotten a lot of help here, nice defensive plays." The Dodgers join the Giants, Cubs and Braves as the only franchises to win 10,000 games. Manager Don Mattingly has been around for 275 of those victories. The laid-back former Yankee quipped that he might even keep a souvenir ball from this milestone victory. "If I can get one, it wouldnt be bad to have one," Mattingly said. "It feels pretty good." With the bases loaded and the Twins trailing 5-1 in the seventh, reliever Chris Withrow got Trevor Plouffe to pop out to shortstop on a 3-0 pitch to end the threat. Plouffes two-run double in the ninth made it 6-4, but Kenley Jansen retired Chris Colabello to earn his 10th save in 12 chances. "Thats why hes here. A chance for him," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said about Plouffe getting the green light on 3-0. "Get him in a fastball situation like that, thats what we want to see, and he took a rip." Adrian Gonzalez, Andre Ethier and Yasiel Puig each added two hits and an RBI. Eduardo Escobar had a career-high four hits and two RBIs for the Twins. It rained most of the day on Wednesday and a tarp covered the pitchers mound and batters box at Target Field 15 minutes before first pitch. "It was a good game for us, a little bit of weather," Mattingly said. "You didnt hear any complaining. Guys were ready to play. Doug Martin Jersey. ." Greinke wasnt fazed, and won his 12th game in 17 starts since Aug. 5. The right-hander has pitched at least five innings and allowed two runs or fewer in 18 consecutive regular season starts. With Minnesota up 1-0, Drew Butera slid headfirst and touched home just ahead of Kurt Suzukis tag after Hanley Ramierz singled to left in the third. Manager Ron Gardenhire challenged the safe call by home plate umpire Chris Segal, but lost after the call was confirmed following a 2-minute replay review. Uribes two-run single made it 5-1 in the seventh. Minnesota advanced a runner at least to second base six times against Greinke, but couldnt break through beyond Escobars double. Greinke had been 0-3 with a 5.63 ERA at Target Field entering Wednesday. "I thought we made him work really hard tonight," Gardenhire said. "But hes a competitor. He always seems to find a way to get deep in the game and he makes pitches when he has to." Kyle Gibson (3-2) allowed five runs in 6 2-3 innings and lost his second consecutive start after beginning the season 3-0 with a 0.93 ERA. Twins second baseman Brian Dozier did his best to help Gibson. When Gonzalezs grounder to first took a bad hop and ricocheted of Joe Mauers shoulder, Dozier hustled over, dove, and scooped the ball to Gibson with his glove for the out. Tuesdays series opener was postponed due to wintry weather and the two teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Thursday. NOTES: Dan Haren (3-0, 2.03 ERA) will start the first game of Thursdays doubleheader for the Dodgers. Mattingly said Red Patterson will "probably" be called up as the 26th man to start the night game. ... Mike Pelfrey (0-2, 7.32) will start the first game for Minnesota and Kris Johnson will make his major league debut in the nightcap. ... Injured ace Clayton Kershaw makes his second minor league rehab start on Wednesday. If all goes well, Mattingly said Kershaw could rejoin the rotation later this week. ... BARCELONA, Spain -- Santiago Giraldo of Colombia beat Nicolas Almagro 7-5, 6-3 to reach the Barcelona Open final on Saturday, as his Spanish rival suffered a letdown after ousting top-ranked Rafael Nadal. Dan Marino Jersey . Giraldo will face fourth-seeded Kei Nishikori of Japan after he beat Ernests Gulbis of Latvia 6-2, 6-4 in the other semifinal on the red outdoor clay. Almagro slumped to his first loss in six meetings with Giraldo, a day after one of his biggest wins when he upset eight-time winner Nadal at the Real Club de Tenis. "Yesterdays game doesnt serve as an excuse," Almagro said. "Giraldo grazed perfection today, above all in the first set, and I couldnt find the answer." The unseeded Giraldo will be playing for his first career title on Sunday after he saved six of seven break points and finished the match with an emphatic ace. "I have always dreamed of reaching the top spots of the ATP ranking and tomorrow is a first step," Giraldo said. "But I am staying calm. I will keep to my routine and tomorrow will be a day to enjoy and play the best tennis I can." Giraldo prevailed in a match that featured several long rallies by proving more precise with his long groundstrokes. The first set was heading for a tiebreaker until Giraldo snatched it away by breaking Almagros last service game when he swatted a forehand return by the feet of the last years finalist. Almagro got an early break in the second set, but Giraldo won it right back and took control as Almagros nerves frayed with the match slipping away. "He believed more in his tennis, in how he had to play, and he barely made any mistakes," Almagro said. "I committed errors when I could have gone in front. That was the key." Earlier, Nishikoris faster movement overcame Gulbis big serve. Down a set, ninth-seeded Gulbis saved seven break points in the second before finally ceding his serve and losing the match. Nishikori will be seeking his second title of the season and fifth in his career. Kenyan Drake Jersey . LOUIS -- Derek Roy needed less than 2 minutes to redeem himself Thursday night. After taking what he called a "stupid" penalty, the St. Louis centre scored a power-play goal to start a four-goal blitz that led the Blues to a 5-1 win over the struggling New York Islanders. St. Louis won for the sixth time in eight games. The Islanders have lost eight straight overall (0-6-2) and eight in a row on the road. David Backes, Jay Bouwmeester, Magnus Paajarvi and Brenden Morrow also scored for the Blues, who improved to 12-1-2 at home and tied Boston (12-3-2) for the most home wins in the NHL. Jaroslav Halak made 22 saves and upped his record to 15-4-2. Andrew MacDonald scored for the Islanders, who are 2-11-2 in their last 15 games. Roy took a tripping penalty that led to MacDonalds tying power-play goal at 5:19 of the second period. "I was pretty mad about the penalty," Roy said. "And they ended up scoring on it. When I got out of the box, I wanted to redeem myself -- and luckily I got the chance to." Roy pounced on the rebound of a shot from Kevin Shattenkirk to give the Blues a 2-1 lead at 7:02. "I think he felt better about himself," St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock said of Roy. "His goal seemed to energize us." Just more than 2 minutes later, Backes scored a power-play goal on a wrist shot from the top of the circle. Paajarvi increased the advantage to 4-1 with his second of the season, capping a three-goal burst in 7:57. "It was a huge period for us," Paajarvi said. "The whole team really came back to its game." St. Louis was 3 for 6 on the power play after managing one goal in its previous 10 chances. "Thhe power-play goals really put us in a hole," New York centre John Tavares said. Larry Csonka Jersey. "Its the same thing again. (Were) just not good enough." St. Louis power play struggled in back-to-back losses to San Jose and Los Angeles, the teams first two-game regulation losing skid of the season. Shattenkirk, who assisted on two man-advantage goals Thursday, said the club made it a point to shore up the unit. "We just got back to simple things, getting pucks to the net and working on winning the battles," he said. "We got back to what we do best: shooting pucks and getting bodies out in front." New York goalie Anders Nilsson lost for the first time in regulation in his third start of the season. He made 21 saves. "We all know in the locker room that we have to step it up," Nilsson said. "Everybody has got to look in the mirror and see what you can do better." The Islanders, who are 3-10-0 on the road, have given up a league-high 27 power-play goals. "Its tough what were going through," Tavares said. "The only thing that is going to get us out of it is better execution." NOTES: The Blues are 11-0-1 when leading after the first period. ... Islanders G Evgeni Nabokov, who is out with a groin injury, practiced Wednesday and could rejoin the team in a week. ... New York started a five-game road swing that will end Dec. 12 in Phoenix. ... TORSHAVN -- Germany edged another step closer to almost certain World Cup qualification with a 3-0 win over a 10-man Faeroe Islands on Tuesday. James Milner Jersey . Per Mertesacker put the visitors ahead in the 22nd minute but Germany had to wait until Mesut Ozils 74th-minute penalty before being sure of the points, despite dominating the game. Faeroe Islands defender Atli Gregersen was sent off for conceding the spot kick, although TV replays showed Thomas Mueller made the most of a faint touch. "He touched me. Its a clear penalty," said Mueller, who wrapped up the scoring with a deflected shot in the 84th. "We knew it wouldnt be easy, playing on the artificial pitch, but we managed it," Mertesacker said. "We can all do better. We showed good periods and dominated possession." With two games remaining in Group C, Germany has 22 points, five ahead of Sweden which won 1-0 in Kazakhstan thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovics first-minute strike. Ibrahimovic beat Kazakh goalkeeper Andrei Sidelnikov with a crisp low shot inside the far post. Austria defeated Ireland 1-0 in Vienna to stay three points behind Sweden and all but rule out Irish participation in Brazil next year. "Sweden won so its not possible for us anymore to think about the possibility of qualifying," Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni said. David Alaba scored in the 83rd minute when he hammered home from short distance after several Ireland defenders failed to clear the ball. "Ireland defended well but thank God we won the game," said Alaba, who scored the equalizer in injury time in the sides first meeting, a 2-2 draw, last March. "We are all dreaming of Brazil and will do everything it takes to make this dream come true." The game was in the balance until Marko Arnautovic came on for the final half hour. The Austria forward saw his header cleared off the line before Ireland keeper David Forde denied the unmarked Andreas Weimann. Defenders John OShea and Richard Dunne picked up yellow cards and will miss Irelands next game in Germany, where the hosts will aim to wrap up qualification. The Faeroe Islands attacked from the start at the Torsvolli Stadium, but Germany quickly assumed control and Sami Khedira fired narrowly wide in the third minute. Suni Olsen almost conceded an own goal only for the ball to rebound off the crossbar, before Germany keeper Manuel Neuer blocked Pol Johannus Justinussens effort at the other end. Miroslav Kloses first shot was saved by Gunnar Nielsen in the 10th, and the Germany strikers quest for a record 69th international goal was thwarted by the post in the 22nd. Mertesacker scored his third when he came in at the far post to meet Jerome Boatengs header from Ozils corner with his left boot. The second half failed to yield as many scoring chances. Khedira came close again in the 67th, when Rogvi Baldvinsson cleared his header off the line, before Mueller went down and Ozil put the result beyond doubt. "We were under obligation to win the three points. They made it difficult until they were down to 10 men," Germany coach Joachim Loew said. "We had six or seven good opportunities in the first half but there wasnt as much movement in the second." Loew, whose side had been criticized for its shaky defence in recent friendlies, said the offence was not as good as it should have been. "We have to improve our game in the final third," Loew said. "We generally win one or two nil against the smaller teams, or by a lot of goals -- we always win -- but we have to make more of the chances were creating." Truex, crew chief Chad Johnston and 15 per cent of the workforce were notified Monday they are free to negotiate with other teams. The car Truex drives will be repurposed into a research and development team next season. It will run a partial schedule beginning with the Daytona 500 with team co-owner Michael Waltrip behind the wheel. It does not appear the team will use Truexs No. 56 on the car next season. "Today was about doing what we had to do not what we wanted to do," team co-owner Rob Kauffman said. "It was important to let those whose jobs were affected know as early as possible, and a majority of those will remain with MWR through the end of the season." Truex has been talking to Furniture Row Racing about the seat being vacated by Kurt Busch. The meetings with Kauffman and Waltrip and their employees Monday were interrupted when driver Brian Vickers informed the owners that a blood clot had been found in his right calf. He was placed on blood-thinning medication that will prevent him from finishing the season in the No. 55 Toyota. The team had previously planned to use co-owner Waltrip in this weeks race at Talladega, and said it will decide later on its driver for the remaining four races. Vickers was scheduled to participate in a Monday test at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but MWR had Brett Moffitt ready to drive. Its been one hit after another since the Sept. 7 race at Richmond, where MWR was found to haave manipulated the finish in an attempt to get Truex into the 12-driver Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Kevin Stewart Jersey. It began when Clint Bowyer deliberately spun to bring out a caution, setting in motion a chain of events that led to a widespread NASCAR investigation. NASCAR fined MWR $300,000, suspended general manager Ty Norris indefinitely and replaced Truex in the Chase field with Ryan Newman, who likely would have won the race and earned a spot in the Chase before Bowyers spin. In punishing MWR, NASCAR ruled that the only thing it could prove was that Norris intentionally called Vickers down pit road in the closing laps to adjust the finish. NAPA, a longtime partner of Waltrips, then said it was pulling its multimillion-dollar sponsorship of Truexs team with two years remaining on its contract because it "believes in fair play and does not condone actions such as those that led to the penalties assessed by NASCAR." As part of the reorganizational changes announced Monday, MWR said executive vice-president of competition Scott Miller will continue as crew chief of the No. 55 team into the 2014 season. Hed been interim crew chief since Rodney Childers was taken off the pit stand in August when he said he was moving to Stewart-Haas Racing next season. "Our goals for the reorganization were twofold -- firstly to improve the competitiveness of our race teams and, secondly, maintain a stable organizational structure," Kauffman said. "The teams focus has been to find that last 1 per cent needed to move from Chase participant to Cup champion. This realignment will get us closer to that last 1 per cent." WINNIPEG - Kyle Anderson got in a fight on Thursday night. Brett Favre Jersey . In fact, he went out on the field at Shaw Park and beat up the strike zone. Too bad he didnt get any run support. Anderson, the Winnipeg Goldeyes 24-year-old lefthander, retired the first 11 men he faced and finished with a solid six-hit effort over 7 1/3 innings, but the Goldeyes bats went silent and the St. Paul Saints beat Winnipeg 2-0 in the opener of an important three-game intra-divisional weekend series. With the win, the Saints not only put a halt to Winnipegs four-game winning streak ,but they also pulled into a first-place tie with the Goldeyes and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in the American Associations North Division. All three teams are now 18-10 on the season. "Kyle pitched real well for us," said Forney in the subdued Goldeyes clubhouse afterward. "He got first outs in most innings and he really pounded the strike zone. Unfortunately, we couldnt score any runs for him. We didnt even get very many men on base tonight. Baseball is a funny game that way. Their starter was real good and theres no doubt their pitching beat us tonight." St. Paul scored a run in the fifth as Dwight Childs singled home Joey Becker and then, in the seventh, Devin Thaut doubled home Childs. And that was it for both offenses on a cool, rainy evening in downtown Winnipeg. The Goldeyes had only seven hits on the evening. Josh Mazzola was the only Goldeyes player that had more than one (two singles). Saints starter Nick Barnese pitched seven innings of shut out baseball to get the win. "Thats an aggressive (St. Paul) team at the plate," said Saturdays starter for the Goldeyes, Chandler Barnard. "Im going to have to have my best stuff tomorrow. As we saw tonight from Kyle, if you throw strikes and get ahead in the count you can be successful against them. Im going to have to be aggressive, because I know theyre going to be aggressive." Anderson (2-2, 1.22, ERA) suffered the loss for Winnipeg, while Barnese (3-1, 3.48 ERA) got the win for St. Paul. Dan Sattler got his seventh save of the season for the Saints. Vic Beasley Jr Jersey . "I dont know where we would be without him," McClendon said. "Hes done a tremendous job for us and (Wednesday) was no different."
